No Matter What

Are we seeking God or his hand?  God reveals Habakkuk's (and our) theological & ideological idols.  Is God worth it?  Is he enough?  Can we praise him when we can't see his hand of blessing?  Habakkuk begins with a question mark and ends with and exclamation point...and so can we.

Revive Your Work

"The same yesterday, today and forever".  Immutability - God doesn't change.  He's sovereign, holy, and unchanging.  Habakkuk reminds God, and thus himself, that Judah would be saved just like the children of Israel were delivered from Egypt.  We will see that this is a look back at history and forward in prophecy to the anointed one who will ultimately save us all.

God, Will You Be There?

When you know that judgement is coming, but you have to be convinced that God is going to be with you in the Midst of it...You write a Prayer Song' and sing it with all your heart.

That's what Habakkuk did and we have so much to learn from it.

"How to Lose it All" is not the title of a best selling book but it is exactly what happens when we do life our way and not God's way. Our way seems right but in the end we lose everything.  Babylon was going to learn this the hard way.  You don't have to.  Listen to find out how and why.

Is God Fair?

Is God Fair? Habakuk had his doubts...and so do we. Walk with me through the last section of chapter 1 and the first few verses of chapter 2 and see how God helps his prophet come to terms with the evil in his land and the evil that was coming.

Does God Care - Habakkuk 1:1-11

“Does God care?” It is a question that has haunted countless persons over the ages as they have grappled with the problem of evil in the world. “If God is all powerful, then why does he allow evil and suffering? Is God concerned about us? Does he notice all the troubles that take place on our planet? Does God care?” If you have ever asked questions similar to these, then you are not alone. Habakkuk struggled with the same questions and doubts, and he was a prophet!

Jesus Our Elder Brother

We've heard the parable of the prodigal son.  The key to understanding it is remembering who Jesus told it for...His 'buddies' the pharisees & saducees.  

When we understand this, it unlocks a beautiful principle of Jesus as our perfect elder brother who comes to restore our sonship and reunite us to the Father.
