Empowered and Implored

God's commands are His empowerment.  In this transitional section of Paul's letter to the Colossians, We are reminded of our Co-Resurrection with Christ as the ground of God's empowerment to obey the commands to Seek, Set & Set Not.

Accept No Substitutes

Jesus is Enough...unless He isn't.  In the text of Colossians 2:16-23, We will uncover 3 'Ism's' that should have become 'wasims' by now.  But no.  Every one of these substitutes are alive and well in the Church today.

The Power of the Cross part 2

Today we finish the teaching through vs 15 of Colossians 2.  Paul deals with our 3 barriers to God:

1:  Our Sin Nature/Old Man - Crucified in Christ (dead)

2:  The Law - which condemns us justly

3:  Satan - our enemy who promotes disobedience to the law

When St. Paul is done, we discover our freedom to live in the Completeness of vs 10

Beware of Deception

Paul tells the Colossians that they walk in Christ daily the same way they received Him initially.  In this exposition of Colossians 2:6-7 you will discover what it means to Receive Christ by faith and to walk around Him in the same way.  

Blessed Assurance

Assurance.  It is in short supply these days because our sources are suspect.  There is an assurance that is Centered in Christ, thrives in Community, and encouraged by faithful Shepherds that will never disappoint.  

Rejoicing in Suffering
